Publishing foreign investors’ guideline, the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Commerce announced the investment opportunities in Iran in terms of their priorities introducing 17 sectors of which Medical Equipment, Chemicals, and Non-Metal Iron Ores sectors have been given the underscoring priority. Proposing 6 investment frameworks, this ministry has set 3 conditions for foreign investors; the first condition is the possibility of exporting at least 30% of the goods produced in Iran; the second condition is the competitiveness of the goods produced in Iran; and the last one is the technology transfer. In return, the ministry has emphasized the advantages of foreign investment law for foreigners, including treating them as local investors. According to this guideline, the proposed framework includes cooperation agreement, licensed production contract, Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) contract, Build-Own-Operate (BOO) contract, Public-Private Partnership (PPP) contract and technology transfer contract.
- Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company released its Q2 financial reports for the FY ending 19 March 2016. The company managed to make USD 274.92 mn from sales, leading to USD 129.61 mn in gross profit. The subtraction of SG&A costs and the addition of operating revenues resulted in USD 113.38 in net income, recognizing a USD 0.01 EPS.
- Shomal-e Sharq-e Shahroud Mining and Industrial Company released its audited Q2 financial reports for the FY ending 19 March 2015, recognizing a USD 0.0006 EPS. The main reason to its EPS reduction, compared to the same period last year, has been mentioned to be the increase in its operations costs.
In the Market
In the Other Financial Intermediaries sector, Rayan Saipa Leasing Company was institutionally supported; besides, this share also enjoyed the support of its individual investors.
In the Telecommunications sector, both stickers were traded in large volumes; Iran Telecommunications Company has plan to raise its capital based on its investors’ paid in capital and Iran Mobile Telecommunications Company is also regarded as a low-risk share which seems suitable for investors.
In the Investment sector, Atieh Damavand Investment Company was traded in the +3% zone due to rumors on its EPS positive adjustment.
Finally, the Non-Metal Iron Ores sector attracted mostly speculators’ attention as a result of its low float rate and witnessed a price hike; some tickers, including Lia Company almost faced a buy queue.
